Welcome to the news page for the Invitation to ETI project. Any press releases and any other news about the project will be made available on this web page. This page could also be used by some form of extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI) someday if it wants to disseminate information to humankind.

- The Invitation to ETI Leadership Team was most recently reorganized in June, 2007
- "Have we got a Message from ETI?" by Dr. Scarlett Wang, published in the online scholarly journal Contact In Context (Volume 2 Number 2, 2007).
- Journalist Paul Tough, a Signatory to this Invitation, recently interviewed his father, Chief Scientist Allen Tough, on the National Public Radio program "This American Life." The program, in MP3 format, is available here.
- Testing a claim of extraterrestrial technology (December 2004)
- At the CONTACT 2004 conference, Drs. Allen Tough, Scarlett Wang, and David Brin gave a 40-minute-presentation on the Invitation to ETI project called "How can we establish contact with alien lurkers on Earth?" Follow these links for photos of Dr. Tough and Dr. Brin at Contact 2004.
- In November of 2004, the Invitation to ETI project unveiled its new, W3C compliant and Bobby AAA accessible website at www.ieti.org. For details about the changes made, and the reasons behind them, please see this SETI League Press Release.
