Gravity's Rainbow
lyrics © 2007 by Dr. H. Paul Shuch
Sung to the tune of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," © 1939 by Harold Arlen

There's a gravity rainbow
In the sky.
That's where radio waves go,
Five fifty AU high.

EM waves can be bent by
Solar mass.
Fly to where they converge, and
Watch all the photons pass.

Because relativisitc mass
Is frequency dependent, solar focus
Will vary on a spatial scale
To be detected without fail --
It's hocus pocus.

Could our gravity rainbow
Span the sky?
If we know of this rainbow,
Why doesn't ETI?

If gravity can bend our waves,
Can we employ it to find ETI?
